 The Rich Harper Blues Band has wooed audiences wherever they have played on what is a real journeyman career. Unusually for an American band they have toured extensively around the world including the biggest festival in Australia and Europe too. Now they are coming to Asia for the third time. With the success of their debut CD, "Don't Think Just Play", the Rich Harper Blues Band was not only selected as one of Amazon.com's prestigious "Emerging New Blues Artists", but Taxim Records, a German label, joined the group's growing list of blues fans by including a cut from the album on their compilation CD titled, "More Disaster City Blues". It wasn't long before the band’s name was popping up in blues magazines everywhere, and blues societies were urging their members to check out the exciting new group who were carving out a unique niche for themselves in the blues world. By the time the band released their second CD, "Bottled Up Blues", Europe had jumped on board by making the band the #1 selling artists in Switzerland on Amazon's charts.  From California's music capitol Los Angeles comes fast rising diva Shari Puorto - a soulful singer with a sexy and raspy sound, she immediately brings Janis Joplin to mind.
Like Joplin, Puorto is a passionate, powerful and dynamic live performer who naturally connects with her audience. Ricky Zen, Las Vegas entertainer and part-time Phuket resident, has been confirmed as M.C. for the festival also this year. Well known world wide for his unique Elvis and Willie, Ricky Nelson and Johny Cash interpretations, amongst many others, Ricky adds great flavor to the entertainment as a singer, comedian and M.C.
